Sometimes you just need someone to lie in the rain with you. No talking. No advice. Just simply being present in their life during their depression, whether it’s situational or chemical. I’m experiencing a little situational depression right now and I expect it to come and go when I least expect it until I’ve fully processed what I’m going through. I have tried to ignore it throughout the day by focusing on my advocacy but I have to accept it and feel it in order to work through it and get past it. Just know I’m resilient. I refuse to accept pity. I’m a survivor and I’m keeping my word to always be transparent throughout my journey with my mental health.
